Pret opens in Woking

Lunchtime favourite Pret A Manger will open the doors of its new Woking branch on Tuesday (July 10).

The sandwich seller will open its 241st UK shop in the Wolsey Place shopping centre, creating 20 new jobs in the town.

To celebrate, Pret will be rolling out promotions to tickle the fancy of customers and there will be a raft of entertaiment, such as a jazz band, face painting, balloon artists and a children’s storyteller, this weekend.

"Opening in Woking is really exciting for us as we get to be the first shop to offer our new cakes, iced coffees and delicious smoothies," said general manager, Katerina Spokova. "We are delighted to be opening in Wolsey Place shopping centre, which is undoubtedly going to be the hub of Woking and ‘the place to be’ for office workers and shoppers alike looking for good honest food."

In keeping with Pret’s charity commitment - every year the company donates more than 2.4 million products to charities for the homeless across the UK - any unsold food from the Woking shop will be given to local charity Transform Housing & Support.
